The executive director of the Consejo de Alcaldes y Oficina de Planificación del Área Metropolitana de San Salvador (COAMSS-OPAMSS), Luis Rodríguez, announced that the institution received international certifications that strengthen its processes of transparency, quality, and efficiency in public administration.
The entity was certified under the ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management and ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management standards, awarded by AENOR. It also received dual international validation from IQNET, which supports the implementation of these standards.

Rodríguez emphasized that these certifications represent a significant step forward in ensuring more reliable, organized, and efficient processes, especially at a time of growth and transformation for the construction industry in El Salvador.
The anti-bribery certification aims to strengthen mechanisms for preventing improper practices, while the quality management standard establishes criteria for improving the planning, delivery, and operation of institutional processes.

COAMSS-OPAMSS stated that this international recognition will provide greater security and confidence to users, construction companies, and institutions involved in the urban development of the San Salvador Metropolitan Area.
The process was supported by representatives from institutions such as the Comisión Ejecutiva Hidroeléctrica del Río Lempa (CEL), as part of efforts to strengthen institutional management and promote international standards in the public sector.
