The Board of Directors of the Asociación Nacional de la Empresa Privada (ANEP) approved a new Strategic Plan that will define the institution’s direction for the next five years, with a focus on strengthening business representation, promoting innovation, improving business competitiveness, and expanding opportunities for salvadoran products and services to reach international markets.
As part of the ANEP Board of Directors, the Corporación de Exportadores de El Salvador (COEXPORT) supported the approval of this roadmap, developed through consensus and input from various business associations.
One of the main objectives is to advance the internationalization of salvadoran products and services. To this end, ANEP seeks to strengthen its relationships with embassies and other international stakeholders, with the aim of generating new business opportunities for the country’s companies and facilitating their access to foreign markets.
This initiative has a direct impact on economic activity, as expanding the presence of salvadoran companies in other markets can contribute to export growth, generate new revenue, and open opportunities for companies to increase their production, investment, and hiring.

During the meeting, the key areas related to strengthening trade association representation, innovation, and generating greater value for members were also presented. The strategy aims to ensure that the various business organizations work in a coordinated manner and establish a shared vision to address the economic challenges of the coming years.
Another component will be the training and development of human talent. ANEP reported that it has already held meetings with university associations to identify and promote skills that meet the needs of the productive sector. The goal is to have workers and professionals better prepared to face technological changes and the new demands of the markets.
Training is also linked to the competitiveness of companies, since a workforce with greater capabilities can foster productivity, innovation, and the ability to compete in both the national and international markets.
The Board of Directors members received the plan positively and highlighted the clarity of the established objectives. During the session, proposals and ANEP’s institutional projections for this new phase were also presented, with the intention of involving the various business associations in its implementation.

The next step will be the formation of working groups to transform the plan’s objectives into concrete actions. Business representatives indicated that it will be necessary to reach agreements among the different associations and develop joint proposals that respond to the needs of the productive sectors.
Job creation is also among the expectations linked to this new roadmap. The private sector suggests that greater competitiveness, expansion into new markets, and the strengthening of companies can contribute to generating more job opportunities and boosting the national economy.
With this Strategic Plan, ANEP begins a new phase based on innovation, training, internationalization, competitiveness, and collaborative work, with a vision of sustained growth for the next five years and the objective of transforming business proposals into actions that contribute to the country’s economic development.
