Some of the participants in this first cohort are women who graduated from AES El Salvador’s Women Electricians courses. They complemented their training with entrepreneurship, marketing, and business management tools to strengthen their services and expand their business opportunities.
As part of their commitment to economic inclusion and sustainable development, AES El Salvador and FUNDEMAS graduated the first cohort of their “Mujeres en Acción” program, an initiative designed to strengthen the entrepreneurial, commercial, and digital skills of salvadoran women seeking to boost their businesses and generate new opportunities for economic growth.
During the training process, the participants acquired practical knowledge in digital marketing, financial management, personal branding, customer service, and sales strategies—tools that will allow them to better position their services and strengthen their businesses.

The program aims to complement the participants’ technical skills with business competencies that contribute to increasing their income and strengthening their economic independence.
“At AES, we believe that comprehensive training is key to generating real development opportunities. Through initiatives like this, we provide tools that allow participants to strengthen their businesses, expand their client base, and improve their quality of life and that of their families”, said Carlos Marroquín, Communications and Community Manager of AES El Salvador.

The initiative was developed with the support of FUNDEMAS, the organization responsible for facilitating the training process and assisting participants in strengthening their business skills.
“Each woman who completes this program represents a story of effort, overcoming challenges, and leadership. At FUNDEMAS, we are proud to contribute to the development of skills that strengthen women’s economic autonomy and generate a positive impact on their families and communities”, said Maythe Cornejo, representative of FUNDEMAS.

As part of the closing ceremony, the participants received their graduation diplomas, and their commitment and dedication throughout the training process were recognized.
With initiatives like “Mujeres en Acción”, AES El Salvador reaffirms its commitment to promoting women’s entrepreneurship, fostering economic inclusion, and contributing to the sustainable development of salvadoran communities.
