El Salvador continues to promote investment opportunities with capital from the Middle East, this time through a meeting between Deputy Foreign Minister Adriana Mira and Saudi Eksab Executive Director Yazeed Al-Yahya, on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA81).
During the meeting, they discussed opportunities to promote investment projects that would help create jobs, expand production, and strengthen salvadoran companies, as part of efforts to strengthen economic ties between El Salvador and Saudi Arabia.
One of the main topics was the identification of strategic sectors with potential for investment, including energy, logistics infrastructure, agribusiness, tourism, and technology services. These areas were highlighted as opportunities due to their importance within national priorities and their alignment with Saudi Eksab’s areas of expertise.

Energy is one of the sectors being analyzed for potential investment opportunities, while logistics infrastructure represents another area of interest due to its connection to productive and commercial activities. Added to this are agribusiness and tourism, two areas with the potential to generate economic activity and jobs.
In the case of technology services, the discussions open another avenue for exploring projects linked to activities with a higher technological component and to the development of salvadoran companies. The stated goal is for investment opportunities to also contribute to expanding production and strengthening the national business sector.

The meeting is part of El Salvador’s efforts to attract foreign capital and expand its economic relations with the Middle East. As part of this agenda, the identification of projects in strategic sectors aims to create conditions that allow companies and investors to find opportunities to participate in the salvadoran economy.
According to Deputy Foreign Minister Mira, the discussions with Saudi Eksab focused on identifying initiatives that align investors’ interests with the country’s economic priorities, with an emphasis on investment, job creation, expanding production, and strengthening salvadoran companies.
