The Superintendencia del Sistema Financiero (SSF) announced the start of a new phase of fund refunds for depositors of the Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito Santa Victoria de R.L. (COSAVI de R.L.), as part of the process to restore the funds of savers affected by the financial institution’s situation.
According to official information, this new phase will be available starting june 18, 2026, and will serve individuals with total deposits of up to US$110,000. This measure expands the scope of previous refunds and represents further progress in the fund recovery process for the cooperative’s members.
The SSF explained that payments will be made at the Central Branch located on Gabriela Mistral Street, where beneficiaries can complete the necessary procedures to receive their funds. Customer service will be available monday through friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and on saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

According to the institution, this new phase of refunds is possible thanks to the income generated by loans that had already been granted by the cooperative before the intervention. The payments made by borrowers allow the recovery of resources that are subsequently used to serve depositors.
The process is part of the actions implemented by financial authorities to protect the interests of savers and ensure the orderly management of available assets. With each new phase of refunds, more people can access the recovery of their deposits, gradually reducing the economic impact generated by the COSAVI situation.

The SSF reiterated its call for users to stay informed only through the institution’s official channels to learn details about the procedures, requirements, and dates related to refunds.
The launch of this new phase is positive news for hundreds of depositors who are still waiting to recover their savings, and it reflects the progress made in the fund restitution process promoted by the salvadoran financial system authorities.
