The countdown to El Salvador Travel Market 2026 (ESTM) has begun. With just one month to go and very few spots remaining, San Salvador hosted the official presentation of this second edition, which comes amidst the international growth of Salvadoran tourism and with a clear commitment to converting that interest into new business opportunities.
Organized by the Ministerio de Turismo de El Salvador (MITUR) and Corporación Salvadoreña de Turismo (CORSATUR), ESTM will be held from september 14 to 18 at the Hilton San Salvador Hotel and will bring together international buyers, wholesalers, and tour operators from North America, Europe, and Latin America with tourism companies and suppliers from El Salvador.
During the presentation, Tourism minister Morena Valdez highlighted the current growth and transformation of Salvadoran tourism, as well as the opportunity to translate this international standing into investment, employment, and business opportunities for the country.

“El Salvador Travel Market has established itself as a strategic platform for strengthening commercial alliances and connecting our tourism offerings with key international markets. Initiatives like this contribute to the industry’s growth and position El Salvador as a competitive destination for generating business among wholesalers worldwide”, said Morena Valdez, minister of Tourism of El Salvador.
The event comes at an excellent time for the destination. El Salvador is projected to receive more than 4.1 million international visitors in 2025, coinciding with the development of new infrastructure, increasing connectivity, and the diversification of its offerings, which now encompass surfing, nature, culture, adventure, gastronomy, and wellness.
This tourism evolution will have a direct commercial dimension at ESTM. The B2B event is expected to exceed 900 business meetings, with 15-minute appointments pre-arranged through a professional matchmaking system between international buyers and salvadoran companies.
Before to negotiate, international participants will experience the destination through specialized familiarization trips, gastronomic and cultural experiences, and visits to different parts of the country—a format that allows those who may later incorporate Salvadoran tourism products into their programs and catalogs to gain a deeper understanding.

For Carlos Umaña, president of CASATUR, the event represents an opportunity to translate the destination’s growth into the business arena:
“ESTM is possible thanks to everyone’s efforts. El Salvador no longer just seeks to be known; we want it to be sold, programmed, and marketed internationally. With this new edition, CASATUR aims for the event to evolve beyond an annual gathering and consolidate itself as a permanent tool for generating business, fostering sector collaboration, and connecting Salvadoran tourism companies with international markets”.
ESTM 2026 also builds on the momentum of its first edition, which was very well received by buyers and professionals, reinforcing a model that combines destination experiences with high-value professional meetings.

The presentation also served to recognize the role of the strategic partners and sponsors supporting this second edition, whose collaboration is fundamental to the event’s success. The organizers especially thanked de Iberia, Avianca, Iberojet, Volaris, aerolíneas TAG, Banco Cuscatlán, Hoteles Decameron, Hotel Hilton, Avante y Centro Histórico de San Salvador, as well as strategic allies: Ron Cihuatán, Copa, Asociacion de Touroperadores de El Salvador ASOTUR, Cerveza Cadejo and Hotel Intercontinentalfor their commitment to an initiative that unites the salvadoran tourism sector around its international promotion and marketing.
With only a few places remaining and just one month to go, El Salvador Travel Market 2026 is now entering its final stretch. From september 14 to 18, San Salvador will once again bring together tourism and business in a destination that continues to gain ground on the international map.
