The Ministry of Labor, headed by Rolando Castro, has intensified inspections in several companies to ensure compliance with the labor rights of workers. These supervisions are mainly focused on verifying that all employees have received their Christmas bonus in due time and form, in accordance with the percentages established by law. This effort seeks to protect the income of Salvadoran families during the most demanding season of the year.
In addition, labor inspectors are ensuring that employees who rendered services during the holidays of december 25 and january 1 have been paid double, as stipulated by law. This benefit is essential to compensate for the sacrifice of working on mandatory rest days, promoting fair treatment of workers.
Minister Castro emphasized that inspections will continue in a more rigorous manner in 2025, with the objective of strengthening labor justice in the country. “We will continue to work harder to ensure that workers’ rights are respected and that everyone receives what they are entitled to”, the official stated, reaffirming the institution’s commitment.
These actions not only protect workers, but also promote a corporate culture based on respect and fairness. Companies that comply with the law not only avoid sanctions, but also strengthen their reputation and labor relations, key factors for their long-term sustainability.
The Ministry of Labor remains alert and ready to respond to reports of any irregularities. This type of operation reflects the institution’s mission to prioritize those who need it most, consolidating a fairer and more caring society.
