As part of the continuous search for destinations and markets for the placement of products and services of our exportable supply, El Salvador was present at the trade fair Salón Internacional de Alimentos (SIAL) 2025, which was held from april 29 to may 1, in the city of Toronto, Canada.
According to the organizers of the event, the SIAL is the meeting point of the Canadian agri-food industry, which brings together more than 1000 national and international exhibitors from 44 countries, and receives more than 21,000 visitors from that country, the United States and 77 other countries; positioning itself as an important showcase for doing business and establishing partnerships.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic, through the Economic Counseling of El Salvador in Canada, along with a delegation of 10 national entrepreneurs, took this opportunity to present and publicize the articles with potential to be placed in the preference of consumers in this and other foreign destinations.
Among the products on display were frozen fruits, condiments, blends for natural soft drinks, bakery products, soft drinks, snacks and cookies, fried beans, coffee, liquors, and nostalgic products, with the aim of strengthening and expanding international sales.

During the fair, more than 50 business contacts were made and around twenty business opportunities and appointments were identified for various products, such as cocoa, honey and confectionery, to mention a few.

At the close of the event, some of the Salvadoran businessmen already reported the first purchase orders, so it is projected that in the coming days, more sales will be achieved, from the exchanges and approaches held in the SIAL.

Among the national exhibitors were Comercializadora 503, Pan San Antonio, Productos La Canasta, San Sívar Foods, Grupo Steiner, Torrefactora Centroamérica, Sabores Cosco, SICAFÉ, Inversiones Montecarlo and Molsa. In addition, support was provided by the Investment and Agencia de Inversiones y Exportaciones de El Salvador (INVEST).
