A. M. AES El Salvador, through its distribution company AES EEO, has started the year with a significant investment of more than US$431 thousand to optimize the quality of electricity service for more than 162,000 customers in the eastern part of the country.
This investment includes a series of essential works such as the maintenance of distribution lines, the construction of new electrical networks, the optimization of substations, the replacement of infrastructure, the improvement of the telecontrol system and the pruning of trees that represent a risk of contact with the power lines.
Luis Alfaro, Chief Commercial Officer of AES EEO, highlighted the importance of these works to raise service standards in the departments of San Miguel, Usulután, La Unión and Morazán: “This effort reflects our commitment to continuous improvement and to offer a quality supply that positively impacts the quality of life of the communities in the eastern region”, said Alfaro.
The company also seeks to strengthen the electricity infrastructure in this key area of the country, which is experiencing economic growth in strategic sectors such as tourism, industry and commerce. This will allow a safer and more efficient distribution of energy, especially during the high demand season. With this investment, AES EEO reaffirms its commitment to offer a world-class electric service that accompanies the economic and social development of all salvadorans.
