El Salvador is consolidating its position as a strategic hub for logistics and trade in the Central American region. To further boost this dynamism, GS1 El Salvador is pleased to announce the celebration of its flagship event, “El Salvador in Code,” which will focus on “the new era of business” in its first edition in 2025.

Over the past six years, the salvadoran economy has grown at an annual rate of over 2.5%, strengthening the country’s logistics infrastructure. Strategic government projects, such as road expansions and improvements to ports and airports, along with growing private investment in logistics centers and industrial areas, are transforming the business landscape. Furthermore, advances in security have created a more favorable investment environment.
The event will take place on wednesday, october 15, 2025, at the Sheraton Presidente Hotel and is expected to feature more than 400 professionals, more than 10 speakers, and over 8 hours of specialized content.

In this context, GS1 standards have become a fundamental pillar for efficiency and trust in the supply chain. The GS1 El Salvador organization, with 31 years of experience in the country, has been a benchmark for companies of all sizes to implement good practices that strengthen their competitiveness and visibility at the regional level.

Speakers include high-level figures such as Daniel Vega, Senior Retail/CPG Industry Strategist | Latam for Amazon Web Services, and Guillermo Fazio, President of GS1 Argentina, as keynote speakers. However, we will also feature other high-level guest speakers from both local and international organizations and companies. We will interact with them throughout the day to offer their perspectives and strategies to boost innovation, efficiency, and competitiveness.

“We have seen firsthand how GS1 global standards, such as barcodes, are becoming key enablers of traceability and efficiency, allowing salvadoran companies not only to grow domestically but also to integrate more robustly into international value chains”, said Gerardo Steiner, President of GS1 El Salvador.
The “El Salvador en Código” event will offer a strategic experience designed for innovation, analysis, and transformation. Attendees will explore how GS1 standards help companies address current supply chain challenges and prepare for an increasingly disruptive future.
