Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, announced a new phase of growth in El Salvador through a strategic alliance with VELOSA (Oriental Motors, S.A.). With extensive experience in the automotive sector across the region, proven distribution capabilities, and strong operational expertise, VELOSA will play a key role in expanding Hero MotoCorp’s presence and strengthening its connection with customers throughout the country.

To mark this milestone, VELOSA inaugurated its flagship Hero store on Calle El Progreso and expanded its commercial network with two additional points of sale at Metrocentro San Salvador and Plaza Mundo Soyapango. VELOSA has also established strategic partnerships with dealers across the country, bringing authorized service and support closer to Hero customers, and begins operations with more than 30 authorized dealers.

Commenting on the announcement, Sanjay Bhan, Executive Vice President of Global Business, Global Product Planning, and Global Market Intelligence at Hero MotoCorp, said: “El Salvador is a strategic market for Hero MotoCorp in Central America. Over the past 13 years, Hero has served nearly 50,000 customers in El Salvador, and flagship models such as the Hunk and Xpulse have played a key role in building the brand’s presence. Through this new alliance with VELOSA, Hero is entering its next phase of growth, focused on enhancing the customer experience, expanding service coverage, and strengthening comprehensive support for its customers.”

Carlos Landaverde, Commercial Manager at VELOSA, added: “We are very pleased to begin this new chapter with Hero MotoCorp in El Salvador. VELOSA brings a strong track record in the region’s automotive sector, along with a clear commitment to service, support, and customer proximity. Our goal is to build on the trust that Hero has earned over the years and deliver a superior experience to both current and future Hero customers.”

Currently, integrated sales, after-sales service, and genuine spare parts are available at the Hero store on Calle El Progreso, as well as at Hero Merliot and Santa Ana. Meanwhile, the Metrocentro San Salvador and Plaza Mundo Soyapango locations focus on motorcycle sales. Reaffirming its commitment to quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction, Hero MotoCorp will offer a 5-year or 60,000-kilometer warranty, along with four complimentary service checkups across its entire product portfolio available in the market.
