During the annual gala of the best banks in the world, The Banker, one of the most respected global references in the financial field, awarded Banco CUSCATLAN the prestigious title of Bank of the Year 2024 of El Salvador.
This international recognition is based on criteria such as sustained growth, financial strength, improvements in the quality of service, investment in technology and sustainability strategies to address environmental and social challenges in the countries where they operate.
In the case of Banco CUSCATLAN, The Banker highlighted its digital transformation strategy focused on financial inclusion, which includes investment in the NIU App and YA digital products. These initiatives allow the opening of savings accounts from anywhere in the world and encourage the saving of family remittances in installments, which are crucial for the salvadoran economy.
Financial education and the CUSCATLAN Crece Contigo platform, which promotes electronic commerce, the professionalization of entrepreneurs and micro-entrepreneurs, as well as financial control through digital payments, were key factors in receiving this distinction.
El Salvador was one of three countries in the region to receive this award. In total, 127 delegations of bankers participated in this emblematic celebration of international banking.
This recognition is a reflection of Banco CUSCATLAN’s commitment to digital transformation as a way to improve access to the financial system and promote true inclusion that contributes to the sustainable development of El Salvador.
