In the context of International Bathroom Day, Fundación Calleja, social arm of Súper Selectos together with its strategic ally Kimberly-Clark and its Scott brand, through which it executes its Baños Cambian Vidas program, deliver US$20 thousand to execute the sanitation project of Plaza Bicentenario, Plaza Bicentenario, a community use facility of the Alcaldía Municipal de Cuscatlán Sur,, in the Cojutepeque District.
The project will be carried out by the Fundación Calleja and the funds will be allocated to the construction of four new bathroom spaces, which include sanitary modules for women, sanitary modules for men, a sanitary module for people with physical disabilities and one for employees. All will be equipped with their own set of sinks, guaranteeing modern, hygienic, and functional facilities.
As part of the intervention, hygiene talks will also be included for families who use the plaza, and a counterpart contribution of US$20,000 contributed by Fundación Calleja will be added that will strengthen the intervention, and will promote other community initiatives, including the free psychological care provided through its Plenamente program. Thus, the Foundation reaffirms its commitment to promoting comprehensive solutions that address both the physical needs and emotional well-being of families.
The intervention in Plaza Bicentenario is a priority due to the high influx of users: it receives more than 450 people each month and only had three general-use toilets and a collection tank. This flow of people responds to the convergence of multiple initiatives, from complementary education programs to art, culture, and sports activities, as well as craft fairs, meetings, and special events.

“It fills us with pride and joy to be able to work, one more year, together with Fundación Calleja and Súper Selectos so that more and more salvadoran families have access to drinking water and quality sanitation. We hope to continue strengthening this alliance, bringing well-being and better living conditions to the communities that need it most in the country”, says Camila Cornejo, brand manager for Family and Professional Care at Kimberly-Clark Latin America.
