Movistar El Salvador is proud to announce its alliance with the Fundación Ayúdame A Vivir, the only organization that provides medical treatment to all children with cancer in El Salvador at no cost to the patient. In addition, the foundation provides food, education, psychological therapy and support to survivors, all free of charge.
As a result of this agreement, 125 Movistar employees decided to join the Yellow Movement, the foundation’s recurring donor program, in order to financially support the organization so that it can continue saving lives.
“At Movistar, we work to connect people with the latest technology and we know that our role in society goes far beyond offering telecommunications services. We feel identified with the work that the foundation does, providing the possibility for thousands of children with cancer to be cured and achieve their dreams”, said Lucy Monterrosa, Strategy manager of Movistar.
In addition, as part of this alliance, Movistar El Salvador will offer an exclusive benefit to members of the Yellow Movement. All those who are part of the recurring donors program, will be able to enjoy a 20% discount on postpaid plans during the term of the contract, on plans starting at US$25 per month. This offer is valid only for personal contracts and is available at all Movistar stores, digital channels or through sales executive’s visits, showing the card that identifies them as donors and requesting this benefit.
“Our work depends on donations from kind-hearted companies and individuals like Movistar El Salvador. On behalf of the foundation, our patients and their families, we thank them for their support to continue fulfilling our mission and invite salvadorans to join our cause”, said Sofia Ochoa, Head of Communications of Fundación Ayúdame a Vivir.
This alliance strengthens Movistar’s commitment to the community, but also provides a unique opportunity for its employees and customers to contribute directly to the welfare of children who need it most. As a member company of General International Telecom (GIT), and as part of its vision to connect people responsibly, Movistar considers this project key to the promotion of equal spaces by promoting access to health.
