The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), together with the German development bank KfW and the European Union (EU), will allocate US$123,200 in non-reimbursable technical assistance to strengthen the business capacities of seven salvadoran microenterprises with growth potential. The support is provided within the framework of the DINAMICA II Initiative and aims to improve their management, innovation, and marketing.
The resources will allow for specialized support to be provided to the beneficiary businesses, which belong to the agri-food and financial sectors, with the purpose of strengthening their operations and improving their growth opportunities. As this is non-reimbursable assistance, the microenterprises will receive this technical support without having to repay the funds allocated for the intervention.
Among the areas that will be addressed are business management, strategic planning, and strengthening business models. These components are fundamental for microenterprises to better organize their activities, establish growth objectives, and make decisions based on their operational needs and market conditions.

The assistance also includes improvements to internal processes and business information systems. This encompasses aspects such as transaction recording, cost calculation, and sales control that will allow entrepreneurs to gain greater clarity on how their activities function, identify opportunities for improvement, and manage their resources more efficiently.
This support will be provided by the Universidad Salvadoreña Alberto Masferrer (USAM), through its Centro de Formación Académica y Desarrollo Empresarial (CEFADE), which will offer its expertise in training, consulting, and business development to the participating businesses. The intervention aims to ensure that the knowledge acquired translates into concrete improvements for each of the beneficiary businesses.
According to information from the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), since its creation, CEFADE has benefited more than 1,200 companies and connected more than 2,300 students through training and business support programs. Its work is tailored to the specific needs of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), with the goal of contributing to strengthening their capabilities.

With the tools and guidance provided, the seven microenterprises will be able to improve their competitiveness, promote new innovation processes, and prepare to access other markets. Strengthening their administrative and commercial systems also represents an opportunity to consolidate their operations and develop business models with greater potential for long-term sustainability.
Through the DINAMICA II Initiative, CABEI, KfW, and the European Union seek to contribute to the development of El Salvador’s business sector by providing resources and specialized assistance to MSMEs. The US$123,200 allocated to this program represents support for small businesses to strengthen their productive and commercial capacities, generate new growth opportunities, and improve their participation in the economy.
