The Finance Commission approved an amendment to the General Budget Law to allocate US$912,210 to the Ministerio de Educación, Ciencia y Tecnología (MINEDUCYT),. This includes US$73,200 earmarked for hiring professionals to supervise and monitor educational processes, as well as track the identification of students on the autism spectrum, as part of strengthening inclusive education.
These specialists will be responsible for supporting the implementation of educational processes nationwide, verifying the progress of the program’s pedagogical activities, and ensuring the continuity of the work of trained personnel in the detection and support of students with specific needs, particularly those on the autism spectrum.

This total allocation is part of the Complete Educational Trajectories and Resilience to Climate Change Program, which aims to expand educational coverage and improve the quality of education in the country.
Of the total amount allocated, US$651,500 will be used for leasing properties and minor renovations to relocate students.
Likewise, US$180,004 will be used to hire staff for the program’s Management Unit, responsible for handling contingencies and managing the project’s operations, while the remaining US$7,506 will be allocated to specialists for monitoring and technical-pedagogical support.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the funds come mostly from a US$150 million loan from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), ratified by the Legislative Assembly, as well as from donations from international organizations linked to the Global Partnership for Education.
The program also aims to strengthen educational inclusion, the reintegration of returned migrant students, and the adaptation of the education system to climate change.
