
The current income and contributions of the Central Government reached US$5,009.4 million as of june 30, 2026, according to data from the Ministry of Finance. This figure represents an increase of US$540.6 million, equivalent to 12.1%, compared to the US$4,468.9 million registered during the same period in 2025.
The growth was mainly driven by tax revenues and contributions, which went from US$4,308.8 million in June 2025 to US$4,834.4 million in june 2026. This represented an increase of US$525.6 million, equivalent to 12.2%. Furthermore, these revenues exceeded the amount anticipated in the budget for that period by US$312.6 million, a difference of 6.9%.
Within tax revenues, the Value Added Tax (VAT) represented one of the main sources of collection. At the end of june, this tax generated US$2,133.8 million, US$250.7 million more than the US$1,883.2 million registered a year before, which is equivalent to a growth of 13.3%. Collection from declarations reached US$1,016.6 million, with an increase of 17.6%, while VAT on imports reached US$1,117.3 million, 9.7% more.

Income Tax also showed an increase. Income from this concept totaled US$2,254.2 million as of june 30, 2026, compared to US$2,023.8 million in the same period of 2025. The difference was US$230.4 million, equivalent to a growth of 11.4%. Within this tax, declarations increased 15.2%, withholding 7.0% and payments on account 12.8%.
Other tax components also registered increases. Import tariff duties reached US$196.3 million, a growth of 10.3% compared to the previous year. Selective taxes on consumption totaled US$127.8 million, 6.4% more, while other taxes and various levies reached US$76.7 million, with a positive variation of 23.7%. Within this last group, the tax on the transfer of real estate stood out, which reached US$46.4 million, 33.1% more.
Non-tax income reached US$175.0 million at the end of June, compared to US$160.0 million registered in 2025, which represented a growth of 9.4%. Among its components, social security contributions increased 13.7%, the sales of goods and services grew 21.5% and financial and other income rose 18.7%. The sales of DUI-related services reached US$5.8 million, an increase of 80.5% compared to the same period of the previous year.

When comparing the collection with the 2026 budget, the current income and contributions accumulated as of june were US$5,009.4 million, that is, US$176.5 million above the US$4,832.9 million programmed, equivalent to a variation of 3.7%. In the case of tax revenues and contributions, collection exceeded the budget by US$312.6 million, with a positive difference of 6.9%.
Altogether, data from the Ministry of Finance show that the current income and contributions of the Central Government grew 12.1% during the first half of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025. The largest contribution came from tax income, especially VAT and Income Tax, while non-tax income also registered an increase. The report corresponds to operations of the Central Government and indicates that the income from the FOVIAL contribution is included in reports corresponding to the Non-Financial Public Sector.
