Yellow corn, destined for animal feed, was the main product imported in july 2016 through CIEX El Salvador, reported the Banco Central de Reserva (BCR). Soybean meal, also for animal feed, ranked second, while beef cuts and boneless beef came in third.
These products stand out among the main imports managed through CIEX during that month. Yellow corn, used primarily as an input for animal feed, topped the list, followed by soybean meal, another product used in this same sector. Beef cuts and boneless beef ranked third.
The BCR also highlighted that CIEX El Salvador streamlines transactions related to international trade, allowing users to obtain their authorizations in just 37 seconds. The tool aims to facilitate and expedite the processes that companies participating in foreign trade operations must carry out.
Streamlining these procedures allows importers and other users to manage their authorizations more efficiently, in a context where international trade operations require agile processes to continue through their different stages.
Thus, the july data shows both the main products imported through CIEX and the role of this platform in managing international trade operations, with authorization processes that, according to the BCR, can be completed in 37 seconds.
