El Salvador’s exports of goods totaled US$5,093.1 million between january and september 2026, representing a 3.7% increase compared to the same period the previous year. This was reported by the Corporación de Exportadores de El Salvador (COEXPORT) based on data from the Banco Central de Reserva (BCR).
This result reflects an increase in the value of salvadoran products sold in international markets during the first nine months of the year. The 3.7% growth indicates that the country generated higher revenue from its exports of goods compared to the corresponding period in 2025.
According to data released by COEXPORT, the cumulative value of exports reached US$5,093.1 million, while the volume exported was approximately 2,978 million kilograms. Both figures provide a measure of the commercial activity of salvadoran companies abroad.
Export performance is a significant indicator for the national economy, as international sales generate revenue for companies, sustain productive activities, and contribute to the inflow of foreign currency. Furthermore, export activity drives demand for services related to transportation, logistics, warehousing, and customs procedures.
This growth also highlights the importance of maintaining and expanding commercial opportunities for salvadoran products. Participation in international markets allows companies to seek new clients, diversify their sales destinations, and strengthen their productive operations.
COEXPORT noted the positive performance of goods exports through the end of september, although the released information does not specify which sectors or companies contributed most to the increase. The data covers the cumulative total for the first nine months of 2026 and is sourced from the BCR.
