Businessmen and entrepreneurs from El Salvador and Peru participated in a business forum organized by the Embassy of the South American country in El Salvador. The event sought to promote trade, investment and the development of productive projects between both nations, thus strengthening bilateral economic relations.
The activity was supported by salvadoran institutions such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economy and the Investment and Export Agency of El Salvador (INVEST). During the forum, the opportunities and benefits that both countries can take advantage of were presented, highlighting their economic potential and current trade agreements.
Adriana Mira, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, highlighted the importance of these spaces. “We are excited about the possibilities we are creating together and we are confident that this seminar will allow us to build a prosperous future of shared growth”, she commented during her speech.
El Salvador emphasized its competitive advantages such as its climate of security, stability, strategic location and human talent. These characteristics position it as an attractive investment destination and a key bridge to regional and global markets.
Peruvian businessmen showed interest in areas such as light manufacturing, technology, tourism, infrastructure and distribution centers. These are industries in which important Peruvian investments have already been made in El Salvador.
Likewise, the Asociación de Exportadores de Perú (ADEX) pointed out that there are opportunities for salvadoran products to gain market share in Peru. Medicines, footwear, paper, coffee and textiles are among the items with export potential, strengthening trade ties between the two countries.
Jorge Rosado, Ambassador of Peru, expressed his satisfaction with the results of the forum. “This type of activity reflects the good moment Peru and El Salvador are experiencing, and our mutual interest in strengthening bilateral relations with concrete actions that benefit both economies”, he concluded.
