The Comisión Nacional de la Micro y Pequeña Empresa (CONAMYPE), in conjunction with the Ministerio de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales (MARN), has launched the Diploma in Good Environmental Practices for MSEs 2025. This initiative seeks to strengthen the country’s sustainable economic growth by providing key tools for entrepreneurs and small businesses to incorporate responsible environmental practices into their production processes.

With the participation of 280 people enrolled, the diploma course is designed to improve the competitiveness of the MSE sector by reducing the ecological impact and optimizing the use of resources. The technical training will enable companies to generate savings, identify green business opportunities, and adapt to new national and international market demands.
The program will be developed virtually for seven weeks, with synchronous sessions via Zoom and asynchronous activities through the Virtual Environmental School. Participants will receive 14 hours of training in strategic topics such as environmental education, solid waste management, wastewater management, sustainable procurement, climate change and environmental diagnostics.

This training proposal represents an investment in key human capital to accelerate the country’s productive transformation. By closing the environmental knowledge gap in MSEs, it promotes a more resilient and innovative business environment aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.
With this diploma course, CONAMYPE and MARN reaffirm their commitment to green economic development, promoting a business culture that values both profitability and environmental responsibility, fundamental for the sustainable growth of El Salvador.
