El Salvador has left an indelible mark in the third edition of the «Sound Odyssey» Festival in Brussels, Belgium, in an effort to project its international image and strengthen cultural ties. This multicultural event is a showcase of different nations, attracting hundreds of visitors eager to learn about new identities and traditions.

The Embassy of El Salvador installed a stand where the protagonist was the highland coffee, one of the most valued export products worldwide. Accompanying this jewel, the exquisite salvadoran quesadilla was offered, which delighted the attendees with authentic flavors of the national gastronomy.

In addition to the culinary delights, tastings of national artisanal rum, a liquor that represents the salvadoran mastery and tradition in its elaboration, were offered. This initiative sought to please the most demanding palates and show the diversity of the country’s productive offer.

The stand also served as a tourist information center, displaying images of El Salvador’s impressive natural and cultural attractions. The primary objective was to inspire visitors to consider the country as their next travel destination, thus boosting the tourism sector.

Salvadoran culture was present on the main stage of the festival with a vibrant artistic-folklore presentation. The rhythms of “Las cortadoras” and “Adentro, Cojutepeque” deeply connected with the audience, demonstrating the musical and dance richness of the Central American nation.

These actions had the valuable support of the Salvadoran diaspora, who once again reaffirmed their pride and attachment to their homeland. Ambassador Javier Reyes highlighted the importance of these initiatives to strengthen ties and project the essence of El Salvador on the world stage.
