Movistar El Salvador continues to work with salvadoran youth through the strengthening of its agreement with higher education institutions in the country, promoting initiatives focused on education, technology and environment. These actions allow students to live real experiences that enhance their technical competencies and soft skills, while generating a positive impact on their communities.

“These partnerships reflect our commitment to build a country that is more connected, educated and prepared for the challenges of the future. We want young university students to not only learn about technology, but to live real experiences that prepare them to become the next generation of leaders in El Salvador”, said Eduardo Solórzano, Director of Corporate Affairs for Movistar El Salvador.
Connecting talent with opportunities
In collaboration with the Escuela Superior de Economía y Negocios (ESEN), a digital strategy challenge was developed with the participation of 33 students organized into 9 teams. These young people worked together with Movistar’s prepaid, postpaid and customer experience teams, applying agile methodologies, operational marketing, and analytics to solve real challenges of the telecommunications company. More than an academic experience, it was an opportunity to generate fresh ideas, strengthen ties and build joint solutions for the present and the future.

In alliance with the Escuela Superior de Economía y Negocios (ESEN), an environmental project is being promoted in which university students are trained with the support of the Fundación Empresarial para la Acción Social (FUNDEMAS) to bring knowledge about sustainability to public school students. This initiative promotes ecological awareness from an early age and is part of Movistar’s vision of promoting a more responsible future committed to the protection of nature.
During the sixth edition of the Technical Week, organized by students of the Universidad Don Bosco (UDB), Movistar gave a specialized talk on systems and network architecture and best practices in information technology design. In addition, real examples were given of how to optimize resources when managing databases, how to make a telecommunications network more efficient and improve the user experience, helping to keep the country more connected.
Sports, solidarity and education
Movistar also supported the UDB race “Empowering generations through education”, with the aim of raising funds for the Talents of the Future scholarship program. This activity sought to promote sports and generate educational opportunities for young people in vulnerable situations. At the event, which brought together more than 200 runners, the company donated cell phones and helped with the race signage, reaffirming its commitment to the university community so that more people have access to education.

Social Media Day 2025
As part of its commitment to innovation and the link with new audiences, Movistar El Salvador was one of the sponsors of Social Media Day 2025, an event that brought together more than 900 attendees in a day focused on technology, digital trends, and social networks. During the event, five talks were given by renowned figures in the digital world and interactive dynamics were conducted with participants, who lived a close experience with the brand.
Movistar El Salvador continues to support the comprehensive training of young people, convinced that education, innovation, and inter-institutional collaboration are key to transform the present and build a better future for all.
