A. M. El Salvador’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Adriana Mira, led a forum in Buenos Aires aimed at promoting business and investment by Argentine companies in the Central American nation. This event was part of an official mission aimed at strengthening trade ties between the two countries and consolidating El Salvador’s position as a strategic partner in the region. The meeting was attended by the Cámara Argentina de Comercio y de Servicios.
During her remarks, deputy minister Mira highlighted the profound transformation that El Salvador is experiencing under the leadership of President Nayib Bukele. She stated that economic, social, and political measures have created a more stable and competitive environment, positioning the country as an attractive and reliable business destination. This has fostered a climate of confidence that attracts international investors.
The diplomat highlighted El Salvador’s competitive advantages, including preferential access to key markets, a young and skilled workforce, and a strategic location that facilitates connections with various regions around the world. She also emphasized the existence of a modern legal framework and competitive infrastructure, elements that provide security and efficiency to those seeking to undertake productive projects in the country.
The forum brought together business leaders from diverse sectors, including renewable energy, technology, food, construction, and logistics. Vice Minister Mira reiterated her office’s commitment to providing personalized assistance to Argentine business leaders interested in investing, offering everything from specialized advice to organizing virtual business meetings to facilitate decision-making and consolidate alliances.
With the support of the Salvadoran Embassy in Argentina, synergies that benefit both nations will be sought. The vice minister’s agenda also included a meeting with the Argentine Foreign Ministry’s White Helmets Commission to explore opportunities for cooperation in the areas of humanitarian assistance and disaster risk management, topics of great interest to El Salvador.
