As part of the New Year’s Eve celebrations, the more than 60 AgroMercados nationwide and the Central de Abastos are consolidating their position as the main supply points for Salvadoran families, offering fresh, high-quality products at affordable prices for the traditional dinner on december 31.
From early in the morning, these markets have seen a high influx of consumers looking for meat, chicken, fruit, vegetables, and even basic grains, among other essential ingredients for preparing traditional seasonal dishes.
Merchants ensure that supply is guaranteed and prices remain stable, thanks to direct marketing between producers and consumers.

The Central de Abastos has a constant flow of products from different productive areas of the country, ensuring variety and quality.
AgroMercado shoppers highlight the freshness of the products, the orderliness of the spaces, the customer service, and the affordable prices. That is why they invited those who have not yet made their purchases to visit any of the more than 60 points of sale nationwide.
In this way, the government, through the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, reaffirms its commitment to guaranteeing access to fresh and affordable food, offering the population a nationwide network of Ministerio de Agricultura y Ganadería, which will be open during normal hours on december 31 and will only close on january 1, 2026, returning to normal hours on friday, january 2.
