
In march 2026, CIEX El Salvador recorded more than 15,400 online exports, consolidating the growth of digital foreign trade in the country and reinforcing the efficiency of authorization processes, which can now be completed in approximately 37 seconds, according to the Banco Central de Reserva de El Salvador. This performance reflects an increasingly agile platform that allows Salvadoran exporters to move goods more quickly and with less red tape.
According to official information, the CIEX system continues to operate as a key tool for facilitating international trade transactions, allowing users to manage their export permits entirely online. This advancement not only reduces wait times but also improves the country’s competitiveness in the global market by simplifying procedures related to foreign trade.

The report also highlights that, during the same period, more than 19,500 online imports were recorded, demonstrating the system’s dynamism in both the entry and exit of goods. However, the focus remains on the sustained growth of digital exports, which reflects productive sector’s adoption of technological tools.
Authorities explain that the CIEX platform has been designed to operate continuously, adapting to the pace of international trade, which never stops. This allows companies of all sizes to complete their procedures without interruptions, optimizing time and reducing operating costs.

With these results, El Salvador continues to make progress in modernizing its foreign trade processes, strengthening its responsiveness and facilitating the participation of more companies in international markets through more efficient and accessible digital systems.
