IMPRESSA Repuestos officially started the construction of its new Centro de Distribución en San Salvador Oeste, a project that represents an investment greater than US$21.5 million and which will generate around 1,500 jobs during its construction stage. The work seeks to strengthen the logistical and operational capacity of the salvadoran company, considered one of the largest companies in the sector, with 75 years of presence in the country.
The placement of the first stone was announced by the executive director of COAMSS/OPAMSS, Luis Rodríguez, who highlighted that the project marks a new stage of modernization and expansion for the company.
The new center will be in San Salvador Oeste and will have more than 25,000 square meters of construction, designed to centralize the logistical operations of IMPRESSA Repuestos and optimize the distribution of products at a national level.
According to information, the infrastructure will allow improving the storage, dispatch and customer service processes, increasing the company’s operational efficiency and strengthening its response capacity within the salvadoran market.
During the official act, the mayor of San Salvador Oeste, José Urbina, participated; the Secretary of Commerce and Investments, Miguel Kattán; and representatives of Invest in El Salvador, including Rodrigo Ayala.
The authorities have indicated that this type of investment reflects the confidence of the private sector in economic growth and logistical development in the country, especially in projects linked to infrastructure, distribution and employment generation.
The executive director of COAMSS/OPAMSS highlighted that the construction of the logistics center will have an important impact on the local economy, on the ground due to the investment carried out, as well as due to the creation of direct and indirect jobs related to the work.
In addition to strengthening the operations of IMPRESSA Repuestos, the project will contribute to the urban and commercial development of San Salvador Oeste, an area that has begun to attract new investments in strategic sectors.
With this new infrastructure, the company seeks to modernize its operations and respond more efficiently to the demands of its customers, incorporating more advanced logistical processes and greater storage and distribution capacity.
The construction of the distribution center forms part of the expansion of IMPRESSA Repuestos and efforts to strengthen the logistics chain in El Salvador, in a context where the country continues to pursue private investment projects aimed at economic growth and employment generation.
