The Ministry of Housing invested US$37,800 in the technical and legal process that enabled the delivery of property deeds to 84 families in the districts of Sensembra and Lolotiquillo, in the municipality of Southern Morazán. The delivery, which took place this monday, provided legal certainty to families who had waited for decades for a document that legally certifies their ownership of their homes.
Housing minister Michelle Sol explained that the funds were allocated to the surveying, subdivision, and registration of the properties, procedures necessary for the families to obtain their deeds. According to the minister, this investment aims to guarantee legal security for the properties and resolve processes that have remained pending for many years.
One of the most noteworthy aspects of the delivery is that 73% of the beneficiaries are women, who now have a document that provides them with security regarding their assets. According to the minister, some of them waited more than four decades to receive their property deeds.
Among the beneficiaries is Maura Flores, who thanked President Nayib Bukele and minister Michelle Sol for making the delivery of the document possible. Similarly, Alfredo Hernández expressed that receiving the property title brings peace of mind to his family, as they now have the legal certainty of owning their home.
With this investment, the Ministry of Housing seeks to strengthen the legal security of salvadoran families and facilitate access to documents that allow them to legally prove ownership of their properties, especially in communities where these processes remained unresolved for years.
