The Cámara de Comercio e Industria de El Salvador (CAMARASAL), La Unión branch, announced the XXIII Feria de Turismo, an event that aims to boost the department’s economy by promoting commerce, tourism, and strengthening local businesses.
The event will take place from august 1st to 6th, 2026, at the Complejo Deportivo Municipal de La Unión. According to the organization, an attendance of approximately 2,000 people per day is expected, coming from various municipalities within the department, San Miguel, and other parts of the country. The influx of visitors will increase commercial activity and generate greater sales opportunities for businesses, entrepreneurs, and service providers in the area.
The president of CAMARASAL La Unión, Carolina Ortez, emphasized that the fair represents a platform to promote the department’s tourism and business potential by bringing together merchants, entrepreneurs, and visitors in one place. She said that this type of activity contributes to local economic development by strengthening businesses and fostering new commercial opportunities.

During the six days of the fair, attendees can enjoy cultural activities, musical performances, traditional cuisine, and spaces dedicated to promoting businesses and entrepreneurs. The program also includes the traditional Desfile de Correos, Cabalgata Hípica performances by marching bands, the crowning of the fair queen, and a light show, among other activities designed to attract a greater influx of visitors.
According to CAMARASAL, the arrival of thousands of people during the festivities will have a positive impact on sectors such as commerce, gastronomy, transportation, lodging, and other services, boosting the flow of resources in the local economy and benefiting small, medium, and large businesses.

The fair is supported by the Municipality of La Unión Sur and various sponsoring companies and institutions, whose participation strengthens the organization of the event and contributes to expanding promotional opportunities for the business sector.
CAMARASAL noted that, in addition to promoting tourism, the fair is part of its efforts to strengthen the competitiveness of salvadoran businesses. The association maintains a presence in national and international business organizations, which allows it to expand cooperation opportunities and promote initiatives aimed at economic development and investment in the country.
