El Salvador is strengthening its economic diplomacy efforts in the Dominican Republic by seeking new opportunities for trade, investment, and cooperation. On this occasion, the Salvadoran Embassy held a working session with representatives from the public, private, and productive sectors of La Altagracia province, one of the areas with the highest levels of tourism and commercial activity in the Caribbean country.
The meeting took place at the Cámara de Comercio y Producción de La Altagracia and was led by the Salvadoran Ambassador to the Dominican Republic, Dania Tolentino, who presented El Salvador’s export offerings to business leaders and representatives from various sectors. The objective is to identify products and opportunities that can have a greater presence in the Dominican market.
During the session, investment opportunities offered by El Salvador were also presented, as well as the conditions and incentives available to facilitate the establishment and growth of businesses. The strategy aims to attract capital, generate new business alliances, and expand economic ties between the two countries.
One of the points of interest was the potential of La Altagracia province, which boasts significant tourism, commercial, and productive activity. Through discussions with local business leaders, needs and areas were identified where salvadoran and dominican companies could develop projects, establish partnerships, or generate new business opportunities.
This outreach also aims to facilitate the entry of salvadoran products into new markets and open opportunities for companies seeking to expand their operations internationally. To this end, the diplomatic mission plans to maintain direct contact with business leaders and productive organizations in the Dominican Republic.
Ambassador Tolentino emphasized the importance of creating these spaces for dialogue to strengthen trade and economic relations between the two nations. The Embassy’s support includes facilitating business contacts, promoting salvadoran exports, and providing information on investment opportunities in the country.
Representatives from sectors linked to tourism, commerce, and production in La Altagracia participated in the event, including the Asociación de Hoteles del Este (ASOLESTE), Alianza Empresarial Turística de La Altagracia (ALETA), Asociación de Ganaderos Nisibón and Unión de Empresarios de la Provincia La Altagracia (UEPAL), as well as local authorities and representatives from ProDominicana.
With these actions, El Salvador seeks to expand its economic relations with the Dominican Republic, promoting greater opportunities for exports, investment, and the creation of alliances between companies from both countries. The Economic Diplomacy strategy aims to transform these connections into new commercial and business opportunities for the salvadoran productive sector.
