The interactive bus “My Financial Journey” of the Banco Central de Reserva arrived at the Centro Escolar Candelario Cuéllar in Cojutepeque, Cuscatlán. There, the students of the institution had the opportunity to learn about money management using the various payment systems available in the country.
This innovative bus offers an educational experience in which young people explore money management and the different payment methods through interactive and entertaining dynamics.
The objective of the project is to provide financial education to young salvadorans through a vehicle equipped with advanced technology. The bus will travel through the country’s 14 departments, providing students with a practical and accessible understanding of the national financial system.
During their participation in “My Financial Journey,” students experience real-time simulations of various banking operations. Activities include opening savings accounts, using electronic wallets, handling debit and credit cards, as well as paying for services using QR codes. In addition, they learn how to make online purchases, pay for basic services and make bank transfers.
This project is a collaboration between the Government of El Salvador and the Banco Central de Reserva designed to make learning about finance more accessible and effective for young people in the communities. Using innovative resources, it seeks to facilitate a better understanding of the financial system.
