The official visit of El Salvador’s minister of Economy, María Luisa Hayem, to Ireland strengthened bilateral dialogue between the two countries in strategic areas such as innovation, digital transformation, investment, research, and economic cooperation.
The Irish Embassy in Mexico, which also serves El Salvador, reported that during the visit, the minister and her team held meetings focused on identifying opportunities for collaboration that contribute to economic growth and the development of joint initiatives.
According to the diplomatic mission, the meeting helped advance relations between the two countries through the exchange of experiences and the promotion of alliances aimed at fostering sustainable growth.
Among the topics discussed were innovation, digitalization, attracting investment, developing research projects, and economic cooperation—areas that both governments consider fundamental for generating new development opportunities.
The minister of Economy, María Luisa Hayem, thanked the Government of Ireland for hosting the Salvadoran delegation and for its willingness to develop a joint work agenda.
