The Loteria Nacional de Beneficencia de El Salvador (LNB) has kicked off the highly anticipated CIBELAE El Salvador 2024 Conference, an event that brings together top leaders and experts from the state gaming sector to address critical issues such as money laundering prevention and technological innovation. This event, organized in collaboration with the Corporación Iberoamericana de Loterías y Apuestas de Estado (CIBELAE), takes place from september 30 to october 2 at a hotel in the capital.
El Salvador, with the LNB as host Lottery, under the leadership of Javier Milián, president of the LNB and current president of CIBELAE, has consolidated as a regional reference in the gaming industry. This event not only reinforces the country’s commitment with transparency in the industry, but also shows its leadership in the implementation of new technologies and best practices.
One of the highlights of the event was the launch of the new three-tier Anti-Money Laundering (AML) certification framework, designed to establish clear and effective standards to mitigate financial risks in the sector. This innovative certification demonstrates the commitment of CIBELAE and its members to integrity in the official game, which is crucial in an increasingly regulated environment.
The conference has also provided attendees with the opportunity to delve into topics such as the use of emerging technologies and data analysis (Business Intelligence) to improve strategic decision making within lotteries. In addition, new sales channels and the importance of continuing to innovate in a sector that is constantly evolving are being discussed.
Participants have the opportunity to hear from leading industry figures such as Younes El Mechrafi, vice president of the World Lottery Association (WLA): Esmeralda Britton, president of the Costa Rican Social Protection Board; Lorna Huertas, director of the Puerto Rico Lottery; and Luciola Aor Vasconcelos, president director of Caixa Loterias of Brasil. These international experts, along with other panelists, are sharing their knowledge and experiences, enriching the event and promoting the exchange of ideas on a global level.
The event also offers a valuable networking platform, where attendees can strengthen professional relationships and explore collaborations that can transform the future of the gaming industry in the region.
