A. M. The General Directorate of Energy, Hydrocarbons and Mines published the reference prices of fuels for the period from march 4 to 17, 2025. Superior gasoline remains unchanged, while regular gasoline and diesel show slight reductions between US$0.02 and US$0.04 in all zones of the country.
In the central zone, premium gasoline remains at US$3.90 per gallon, regular gasoline drops US$0.02 to US$3.69 and diesel drops US$0.04, leaving a cost of US$3.60. In the western zone, premium gasoline remains at US$3.91, regular down to US$3.70 and diesel at US$3.61.
The eastern zone registers higher gasoline at US$3.94, regular gasoline with a slight decrease of US$0.03 remains at US$3.73 and diesel also decreases US$0.03, marking a price of US$3.65. These variations reflect a tendency towards stability in local market prices.
The DGEHM indicated that some international factors have influenced these prices. The International Energy Agency (IEA) reported an increase in gasoline and diesel reserves in the US, which has allowed stability in their costs at a global level. In addition, US-driven negotiations in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine have generated expectations of a possible increase in the world oil supply, which has an impact on fuel prices.
The authorities urge the population to keep informed about reference prices and to seek strategies to save on fuel consumption to mitigate the impact on the family economy.
