Grupo ESTRELLA announced today the acquisition of Cementos Fortaleza in El Salvador, marking Cemento PANAM’s entry into the salvadoran market and strengthening its regional industrial platform.
The agreement, backed by BLADEX, BAC, and Global Bank, includes the acquisition of the plant located in Acajutla, with an installed capacity of 350,000 tons of cement per year.
With this addition, Cemento PANAM expands its operations to a third country, joining the Dominican Republic and Panama, where it operates under the Cemento BAYANO brand.
“Our entry into El Salvador reflects our recognition of the country’s growth potential. We are here to combine our capabilities with the experience of local talent, strengthening the industry and generating new opportunities”, said Giuseppe Maniscalco, President of ESTRELLA’s Industrial Division.
