El Salvador participated in the annual “Exigí Buen Café” fair—one of the coffee industry’s key gatherings in Buenos Aires, Argentina—with the aim of promoting the quality of coffee produced in the country and generating new commercial opportunities for salvadoran beans.
The delegation was led by the Embassy of El Salvador in Argentina, with the support of two companies that import salvadoran coffee. During the event, information was presented regarding the characteristics and quality of the varieties grown in El Salvador, as well as the various stages of the coffee value chain.

According to the diplomatic mission, the event helped bring the salvadoran product closer to consumers, buyers, and industry representatives. Attendees also had the opportunity to taste a cup of Salvadoran-produced coffee as part of the promotion of the country’s coffee.
The fair took place over two days, catering to different audiences. The first day was aimed primarily at enthusiasts, retail buyers, and coffee lovers, while the second brought together businesspeople and investors involved in the marketing and purchasing of the product.

This format allowed the salvadoran delegation to connect with both potential consumers and commercial players interested in introducing Salvadoran coffee to their markets. The meetings also served to identify potential business and cooperation opportunities.
El Salvador’s participation in “Exigí Buen Café” is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen trade ties with Argentina and expand markets for salvadoran coffee. Through such events, the country seeks to position its coffee varieties and facilitate new contacts that help increase the product’s presence in the argentine market.
