In an unprecedented collaboration, the Instituto Nacional de los Deportes de El Salvador (INDES) and Two Shows Sport are pleased to present the event called El Salvador Open 2024: Legends on the Court, a world-class tennis show that will bring together outstanding ATP players of international renown.
The event will feature the participation of salvadoran tennis player Marcelo Arevalo, current world number 1 in doubles, accompanied by international figures such as Mate Pavic, Miguel Angel Reyes-Varela and Jean-Julian Rojer. Together, they will offer two unforgettable days of talent and technique at the Gimnasio Nacional Adolfo Pineda.
Marcelo Arevalo, the first salvadoran and Central American to win two Grand Slam titles, will host this event and share the court with his iconic doubles partners. With mexican Miguel Angel Reyes-Varela, his partner in 2017 and with whom he entered the ATP Top 100. With Jean-Julian Rojer, from the Netherlands, he achieved the historic conquest of the Roland Garros Grand Slam in 2022, a milestone for Central America.
Currently, along with croatian Mate Pavic, Marcelo Arévalo is number one in the ATP doubles ranking, and has achieved important victories in international events this year, including the Roland Garros 2024 and five other top-level tournaments.
The president of INDES, Yamil Bukele, highlighted the pride that Marcelo Arévalo represents for the country, not only for his sporting achievements, but also for being an example and inspiration for the new generations. This tournament will be an opportunity to recognize his impact in international tennis and celebrate his career.
El Salvador Open 2024 will also be the stage on which Two Shows Sport, the new division of the renowned entertainment company, will make its official debut.
