The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) made a new disbursement of US$11.5 million as part of the project to strengthen and modernize El Salvador’s Fiscalía General de la República (FGR) . This sixth disbursement is part of a total financing of US$70.2 million, aimed at improving facilities and optimizing the functioning of the country’s justice system.

With these funds, the FGR is moving forward with the construction of a modern building that will allow it to centralize its operations. This measure will not only improve attention to citizens, but will also reduce leasing costs and optimize operating times. In addition, the project seeks to streamline and standardize processes within the security and justice sector.

CABEI has supported key initiatives in El Salvador, reaffirming its commitment to institutional development and modernization. This investment seeks to strengthen access to justice and guarantee adequate infrastructure for the work of prosecutors and administrative personnel.
