Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alexandra Hill, held a meeting with the Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles of India, Pabitra Margherita, with whom she discussed aspects of the bilateral agenda, trade and cooperation.
In the area of cooperation, both officials signed a cooperation agreement that will allow the implementation of the Early Warning Solution Pilot Project, an initiative that will be executed through the Superintendencia General de Electricidad y Telecomunicaciones (SIGET).
During the meeting, both diplomats expressed their interest in strengthening joint work, as well as following up on current collaboration initiatives. Likewise, to deepen the political dialogue and friendship ties in the permanent spaces for such purpose.
Also in this space, both officials signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Innovation and the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) which aims to establish a mutual legal framework for cooperation between the two parties, which will allow working in areas of mutual and common interest in cybersecurity.
In the same context, the minister of India symbolically delivered a donation of medicines, food and personal care products, as well as medical supplies and wheelchairs, totaling 50 tons.
These resources, which were donated in the context of the rain and dengue emergencies, will be delivered to the Ministry of Health.
During this space, Chancellor Hill thanked the Indian official for this gesture of solidarity to the country. He also said that this aid will be channeled to needy families.
“It was a very fertile meeting we had with her Excellency, the Chancellor, Alexandra HIll, it is a great honor to talk to her, we have a lot to work and collaborate and are results under construction, but we are two great nations working hand in hand looking for the same goals. It was a very meaningful meeting”, said the Indian official.
During this meeting, were also present, the Ambassador of India in Guatemala, concurrent for El Salvador, Manoj Kumar Mohopatra; as well as officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
