The Dirección General de Energía, Hidrocarburos y Minas (DGEHM) reported on the prices that will be for the month of july 2024 related to the sale to the public of propane gas cylinders in its different presentations, in addition, they will continue to inspect compliance in prices and the correct weight of the cylinders in all points of sale nationwide, avoiding extra costs for salvadorans.
It should be noted that the DGEHM, reported that prices have not experienced any change with respect to the month of June, in this sense, it is important to note that gas prices are regulated with subsidy for about one million salvadoran families.
The 25-pound cylinder, the most used by salvadorans, will have a price of US$11.13 applying the subsidy of the Government of El Salvador, it would be valued at US$3.09.
The subsidized price of the 35-pound drum will be US$7.46 with a maximum sales price of US$15.50; the 20-pound drum with subsidy will be US$0.94, with a maximum sales price of US$8.98; and the 10-pound drum with subsidy will be US$0.00, with a maximum sales price of US$4.61.
Likewise, the costs have not changed, to alleviate consumers’ pockets by not increasing prices. Likewise, the salvadoran government indicated through its social networks that the subsidy will be maintained.
