Banco Atlántida has announced the launch of “Token Atlántida”, a new investment offering based on tokenized debt. This initiative expands the financial options available to individuals and businesses in El Salvador through debt instruments represented in digital form.
The initiative begins with ATLÁNTIDA01, the bank’s first tokenized debt issuance, structured under a US$300 million program. Investors receive periodic interest and principal payments in exchange for their investment in Banco Atlántida, the issuing institution responsible for the obligations set forth in the official terms and conditions.
The launch is built around a core concept: A new way to invest. A new scale. An evolving form of backing. This central theme encapsulates the Token Atlántida proposition: an investment instrument represented via digital infrastructure, a large-scale issuance, and the institutional backing of Banco Atlántida as the issuer.

Carlos Turcios, Executive President of Banco Atlántida, highlighted that the launch is part of an institutional strategy supported by the experience of Grupo Financiero Atlántida.
“With Token Atlántida, we are taking a new step in our financial evolution. We are part of a group with a history spanning over 110 years, and today we are introducing new investment alternatives that combine innovation, banking expertise, and specialized guidance. Our commitment is to facilitate informed decision-making”, said Turcios.
A financial evolution that began in 2024

This launch is the result of a strategy initiated in 2024, when Banco Atlántida became the first salvadoran bank to obtain a license as a Digital Asset Service Provider. In 2025, the bank structured and brought to market its first Public Offering of Digital Assets, integrating tokenization into its structured finance solutions and expanding the tools available to address the needs of businesses.
In 2026, that experience takes shape in Token Atlántida, an alternative that integrates institutional capabilities in digital assets, financial structuring, and specialized service.
During the event, the bank highlighted progress in its digital asset strategy, including over US$45 million in issued tokens, more than US$70 million in exchange services, seven structured issuances, and two years of experience developing these capabilities.

How does ATLÁNTIDA01 work?
ATLÁNTIDA01 incorporates digital asset technology into a debt-based financial structure. Unlike purchasing cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, the investor acquires a right to receive principal and interest payments from Banco Atlántida.
The instrument features conditions defined by tranche. The interest rate, term, payment frequency, and principal repayment will depend on market conditions prevailing at the time of issuance.

From a commercial perspective, clients can participate in ATLÁNTIDA01 with a minimum investment of US$5,000. Key benefits of this alternative include accessibility through digital fractionalization, flexibility to access issuances with varying conditions per tranche, transaction traceability via blockchain infrastructure, and a defined structure of rights and terms established through formal documentation.
Furthermore, income generated from the token investment will qualify for the tax benefits established under the Digital Asset Issuance Law.
Ingrid Segovia, Assistant Manager of Structured Finance Products at Banco Atlántida, explained the instrument’s terms.

“ATLÁNTIDA01 is a debt token issued by Banco Atlántida that allows investors to earn interest based on the conditions of each tranche. Our debt token issuance combines technological innovation with banking’s most asset: the trust of our clients”, Segovia noted.
Official information regarding the issuance can be found on the official website of Banco Atlántida El Salvador, which includes the Documento de Información Relevante (DIR), a document used for digital asset issuances in El Salvador that outlines the terms and risks associated with the issuance.

With Token Atlántida, the bank expands its financial portfolio through an offering that integrates technological innovation, institutional expertise, and specialized investor support.
Interested clients can access this investment option starting at US$5,000 through Banco Atlántida branches, as well as through its executives and business advisors, who will provide information and guidance regarding the applicable terms.
