Through its Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, Banking with Solidarity, Banco Promerica reaffirmed its commitment to salvadoran children through a donation of $5,000 to support the programs of Aldeas Infantiles SOS.
This contribution was made possible thanks to the campaign “25 Reasons: 25 days of discounts to give the best gifts”, in which, for each transaction made by credit card customers between december 1 and december 25, 2024, Banco Promerica donated $0.25.
“As Banco Promerica, we thank our customers, who used our credit cards, because with their support we gave $5,000.00 that we are sure will be transformed into smiles and opportunities for the children of Aldeas Infantiles SOS, and in this way we contribute to their future”, said Claudia Mejía, Head of Communications and CSR of Banco Promerica.
During december, Banco Promerica also continued its traditional collection of toys in its branches, which were delivered to different homes in the communities served by Aldeas Infantiles SOS. In addition, the employees of the volunteer program Héroes Promericanos organized a Christmas party at the SOS Community Center in Santa Tecla. The activity included the traditional breaking of piñatas, a snack, delivery of personalized gifts and the special participation of Santa Claus, who personally delivered the gifts to the children, creating unforgettable moments for each of them.
“We are extremely grateful for this alliance with Banco Promerica. This action was an important and powerful gesture, which undoubtedly had a direct impact on the lives of more than 3,000 children, adolescents and young people participating in our programs. I would also like to thank all Banco Promerica customers who joined this initiative. Each purchase made with their credit card became one more reason to smile, dream and build a better future for children, youth and their families”, said Claudia Sagastume, Director of Fund Development and Communications of SOS Aldeas Infantiles SOS,
Banco Promerica reaffirms its commitment to be a key ally in building stronger and more supportive communities, through initiatives that promote the integral development of people and their environments.
