The Government of El Salvador, through CONAMYPE and with the support of the FANTEL fund, has granted a total of US$77,407.31 in non-reimbursable funds to eight micro and small enterprises in the tourism sector. This initiative seeks to strengthen the tourism value chain by supporting strategic projects that enhance the industrial production of tourism businesses.

Each beneficiary company may receive up to US$10,000 to purchase machinery, tools, or new equipment, key elements for improving operating efficiency. This investment is focused on expanding the productive capacities and strengthening the competitiveness of the selected enterprises.
The project also has a tangible impact on the sector’s economic development. A 35% increase in the installed capacity of the companies supported, a 25% increase in value added, and a 20% improvement in employment or income generation are projected.

This delivery of funds is part of the program “Development of the competitiveness of micro and small enterprises for the generation of industries”, currently focused on the Tourism Value Chain, one of the sectors with the greatest growth potential in the country.
With these actions, the Government reaffirms its commitment to economic promotion, business innovation and the dynamization of tourism as a key driver for national development.
