Salvadoran authorities celebrated Ecuador’s National Day, highlighting a bilateral relationship of more than 130 years that today promotes strategic cooperation in tourism and investments. Tourism minister Morena Valdez, Deputy Foreign minister Adriana Mira, and Deputy Diaspora minister Cindy Portal joined Ecuadorian Ambassador Laura Donoso in highlighting progress in tourism exchange and capital attraction.

Valdez announced a binational agreement focused on sports tourism, especially surfing, taking advantage of the waves in both countries. She also revealed efforts with the Foreign Ministry to attract Ecuadorian investors: “We are working on actions to bring investors […] in the areas of hotels, restaurants, and other tourism sectors”, she said.
Ambassador Donoso underscored the strong commitment to friendship led by President Nayib Bukele, highlighting unique conditions for exchange: “We have direct flights between El Salvador and Quito/Guayaquil, we share a language, we use the dollar, and we do not require visas”. This connection is currently facilitated by four airlines.

The salvadoran government guarantees security for visitors and investors, creating conditions that promote national growth. “Security measures allow us to establish these cooperative relationships”, emphasized the authorities, linking internal stability with international projection.
The results are already tangible: reciprocal tourist flows, investment projects underway, and an alliance that transforms historical ties into economic development.
