Its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and local economic development has led AJE, a leading company in the beverage industry, to be recognized as one of the five most prominent companies in the beverage sector in Guatemala, according to the most recent Merco Empresas Guatemala 2025 ranking, the benchmark corporate reputation monitor in Latin America.
This recognition reflects AJE’s position as a solid and constantly evolving organization, which has consolidated its presence in the region through sustainable strategies, consumer proximity, and responsible management.

The Monitor Empresarial de Reputación Corporativa (Merco) evaluates the perceptions of more than 1,800 stakeholders—including executives, financial analysts, journalists, academics, NGOs, and consumers—on variables such as management quality, ethical commitment, sustainability, innovation, and corporate governance. In its third edition in Guatemala, the methodology was independently audited by KPMG, reinforcing its transparency and credibility.
AJE’s rise in this ranking confirms the impact of its innovation and sustainability initiatives, including its promotion of eco-friendly packaging, efficient production processes, and community programs focused on environmental education and the development of local entrepreneurs. Its diversified beverage portfolio—which includes brands recognized throughout Central America—has also contributed to strengthening its ties with guatemalan consumers.

“This recognition motivates us to continue working with responsibility, innovation, and social commitment. At AJE, we believe that a company with a purpose can positively transform the communities where it operates, creating shared value for our employees, consumers, and partners”, said José Fernando Matheu, Sustainability manager for the AJE Group for Central America.
Matheu also thanked employees and clients, as well as partners and suppliers, for their contributions in jointly building this reputation, which is reflected today in this recognition.
