
This afternoon, the Legislative Assembly’s Finance and Special Budget Committee received a visit from three senior executive officials, who presented their respective 2025 management reports and outlined their budget projections for 2026. These appearances are part of the review process for next year’s draft General State Budget Law.

The Attorney General of the Republic, representing the FGR-SV, detailed the main legal achievements of 2025, including progress in the fight against crime, institutional strengthening, and the efficient use of resources. He also explained the strategic lines of the 2026 budget request, which focuses on consolidating judicial processes and improving victim care.

The minister of Defense, @merino_monroy, presented the distribution of funds allocated to his portfolio within the draft bill. During his remarks, he emphasized that the 2026 budget will allow for continued efforts to modernize the Armed Forces, as well as institutional strengthening and care for military personnel, all aligned with the President’s vision.
Finally, the minister of Public Security, Gustavo @Vi11atoro, reported on the strategic results achieved during the current year and outlined the projected objectives for 2026. His presentation included significant progress in combating crime and consolidating the security regime, in addition to justifying the requested investment to continue the policies of control territorial and strengthening citizen security.
