Centro Histórico de San Salvador continues to solidify its position as one of the country’s most important commercial and tourist hubs, driven by an urban revitalization process that has attracted high-impact private investment. In recent days, the area saw two key developments for its economic growth: the opening of KFC’s 50th location in El Salvador and the opening of new Go Green and Crêpe Lovers restaurants.

KFC’s arrival in the revitalized Historic Center represents a US$1.2 million investment, strengthening the culinary offerings and generating greater dynamism in a strategic location in the capital. Its new branch, located on 2nd Street West, integrates into the commercial ecosystem that is increasingly attracting national and international visitors, boosting economic activity and strengthening the service sector.
This investment is complemented by the simultaneous opening of Go Green and Crêpe Lovers, which will inaugurate a new location with an additional investment of US$250,000, significantly contributing to employment and the Salvadoran production chain. This project will generate:
• 25 new direct jobs
• 50 indirect jobs
• 35 jobs during the remodeling phase
• More than 50 national suppliers will benefit.
These figures reflect the multiplier effect that private investments are having in the area, boosting the urban economy, expanding the commercial offerings, and positioning the Historic Center as an attractive and profitable location for entrepreneurs and investors.
Each new opening contributes to economic reactivation, boosts commerce, and strengthens the urban renewal process, consolidating the Historic Center as a key driver for the sustainable development of San Salvador and the entire country.
