The Director General of Customs of El Salvador, Benjamín Mayorga, announced the signing of a cooperation agreement with COEXPORT (Corporación de Exportadores de El Salvador), to strengthen the Operador Confiable (OEA-SV) program in the country. This initiative aims to consolidate logistics security, facilitate trade, and foster collaboration between the public and private sectors.
This agreement will allow for joint training, outreach, and information exchange activities to encourage greater participation of salvadoran companies in this international certification scheme. The measure is geared towards promoting a culture of compliance, improving security standards in the logistics chain, and increasing the competitiveness of local companies in foreign trade.

The president of COEXPORT, Silvia Cuéllar, emphasized that the alliance strengthens the link between the public and private sectors, promoting the adoption of international standards that optimize logistics processes and allow salvadoran companies to position themselves more competitively in international markets.
Mayorga noted that the agreement represents a strategic step toward a modern, efficient, and reliable customs system, based on logistical security, cooperation with the export sector, and the promotion of best practices in foreign trade.

The Operador ConfiableProgram is an international mechanism that certifies companies that meet high standards of security and transparency in their logistics processes. With this certification, companies obtain benefits such as reduced physical inspections, streamlined customs procedures, and greater reliability with international partners, thus strengthening the country’s competitiveness in global trade.
With this agreement, El Salvador reaffirms its commitment to moving toward a more modern, secure customs system that is more closely aligned with the needs of the productive sector, promoting trust and efficiency in the national logistics chain.
