The executive director of COAMSS-OPAMSS, Luis Rodríguez, highlighted that El Salvador is experiencing a period of strong growth in the construction sector, with over US$6.1 billion in private investment. He explained that this growth is linked to the improved security conditions and territorial recovery achieved in recent years.
During his participation in the International Seminar on Security and Governance, Rodríguez noted that the improved security conditions have contributed to a more confident environment for investment. According to him, this transformation has allowed security and public investment to have an impact on generating new private investment.
The official explained that this process is particularly reflected in the growth of the construction sector, which is currently experiencing an unprecedented boom. In this context, the more than US$6.1 billion in private investment, according to Rodríguez, demonstrates how security conditions can become a factor in attracting capital and developing new projects.
Rodríguez maintained that territorial recovery has also created a more favorable climate for those seeking to invest in the country. Greater predictability and certainty, he added, are important elements for companies to make investment decisions and develop projects with a long-term perspective.

During the seminar, the executive director of COAMSS-OPAMSS explained how this scenario is being leveraged to boost investment and urban development. The presentation focused on demonstrating the relationship between security, public investment, and the growth in private investment currently being experienced in El Salvador.
The official emphasized that the dynamism of the construction sector not only represents the execution of new projects but also an opportunity to generate economic activity around related sectors, such as services, commerce, construction materials, and other areas related to infrastructure development.
Rodríguez affirmed that maintaining conditions of security, certainty, and predictability will be important for this process to continue. From this perspective, the growth of private investment can become a key element in expanding economic opportunities and contributing to the country’s development.

Rodríguez’s participation took place within the framework of the International Seminar on Security and Governance, where he presented El Salvador’s experience and how, as he explained, current security conditions are being leveraged to strengthen investment and support the growth of the construction sector.
With over US$6.1 billion in private investment as one of the main indicators highlighted during his presentation, the COAMSS-OPAMSS representative emphasized that the country seeks to consolidate a more trustworthy environment for investment, with projects that boost economic activity and territorial development.
