
Invest in El Salvador and the Cámara de Comercio e Industria de El Salvador (CAMARASAL) announced the creation of El Salvador TradeExpo 2026, a business event aimed at connecting the country’s export offerings with international buyers and generating new investment opportunities. The event will take place on october 12 and 13 at the Sheraton Presidente Hotel, under the slogan “Where Opportunities Connect”.
The initiative comes amid growing salvadoran exports. According to data from the Banco Central de Reserva (BCR) cited during the announcement, exports reached US$3,401 million as of june 2026, representing a 4.1% increase compared to the same period the previous year. A 10.3% growth in export volume was also highlighted.
During the presentation, the executive director of Invest in El Salvador, Samadhy Martínez, noted that TradeExpo aims to position the country as a strategic hub for connecting business opportunities in the Americas. Among the sectors that have shown progress, she mentioned agribusiness, with an increase of US$69.5 million, and machinery and mechanical equipment, which recorded an increase of US$60.9 million.

The initiative also represents a partnership between the public and private sectors. Invest in El Salvador will contribute its expertise in facilitation and market intelligence, while CAMARASAL will bring its more than a century of experience working with the productive sector. The Chamber’s president, Leticia Escobar, emphasized that the goal is to harness the potential of Salvadoran companies and create new opportunities for their growth.
TradeExpo 2026 will feature a multisectoral lineup spread across five pavilions: retail, food, beverages, and consumer goods; packaging, plastics, paper, and presentation solutions; industrial manufacturing, technology, and components; the chemical and pharmaceutical industries and specialized supplies; and business services and exportable solutions.

One of the event’s main features will be pre-scheduled B2B business meetings, in addition to conferences and executive networking opportunities. Among the planned topics are “El Salvador: The New Business Hub of the Americas” and “Nearshoring in Action: How Global Supply Chains Are Changing,” which aim to link international trends with the opportunities offered by the country.
Through this initiative, Invest in El Salvador and CAMARASAL aim to turn the event into a platform for facilitating business contacts, promoting exportable goods, and attracting strategic investment. The goal is for domestic and international companies to find in TradeExpo a space to identify new markets, establish partnerships, and develop business opportunities.
